About EMS

EMS says it patented a ballistic shock wave technology in 1997 and presents itself as the inventor of radial shockwave therapy. It launched its Guided DolorClast Therapy concept in 2020 and says it is present in more than 70 countries.

In the US, EMS markets the DolorClast Radial and the DolorClast Focused on its own US website and works through a network of distribution and service partners; its US entity, Electro Medical Systems LLC, is in Southlake, Texas. Its older Swiss DolorClast Classic holds a 2007 PMA approval.
